An excellent example of a modern bullet hell done right. Mechanics such as perfect boss phase bonuses and grazing carry over from touhou nicely. The overall aesthetic is outstanding, with brilliant music by BLANKFIELD. The game is ultimately short, but 10 bucks can only get you so far. This is a good game, but please buy it on other devices or game consoles. The game is really made to be played on anything but a phone's aspect ratio, and the android port has not aged well.

It pains me that I can't give this game a 5★. Danmaku Unlimited 3 is a great game, but it doesn't feel right, the game feels terrible on 18:9 display aspect ratio, and fighter looks blurred (maybe because of Nova 3i's high res?) and unless I enable full screen and notch the UI hitboxes will be offset downward. Oh and sometimes the music won't play properly, which is a shame, considering DU3 has a legendary level soundtrack. Wish I could enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed the PC version.

(Edit: Reviewers having issues with navigation should check if their device offers a "full-screen" mode or similar - fixed the issue for me.) I loves me a good shmup, and Danmaku Unlimited 3 fits the bill nicely. It's gorgeous to look at, the music is awesome, it controls beautifully, and it's hugely addictive. The learning curve is a touch steep at first, but the game is surprisingly good at teaching you how it works through trial and error (if I'm honest, mostly error). I'm hooked.
