Updated review from returning player. This still is the best game of its kind. You can play without spending money, however spending will help you advance a little quicker. The grind can be fun but once you get to higher levels it's less about skills and strategy and really about what deck do you have. Again, fun game, best of its kind but it gets very repetitive at a high level. Not much room for actual strategy

Been playing this game for a bit over 7 months or so and I've been addicted. Already reached the highest arena and rank, but the upsetting thing about it is I had to pay to do this. Everything about this game is great imo, but of course they have to make leveling up cards so difficult without money. I love the gameplay, the variety of unique cards, the strategy, and more. Would be 5 stars if no money was required to reach the highest levels of play.

Are you willing to spend thousands of dollars on a game where the management is constantly changing the terms, rendering your purchases useless? If yes then this is the game for you! If no, either pass on this game or prepare to lose a lot after the initial honeymoon phase. Evolutions have really cemented the pay2win aspect of this game. Being competitive is locked behind a pay wall that refreshes each month.
