About this app

This app serves as a supplement to the augmented reality book "LEVEL FEAR" by the Berlin GRIPS Theater. The book, which was developed together with seven children aged 9 to 12, tells the story of a group of passionate gamers who one day get sucked into their favorite computer game. In order to be able to leave it again, they have to overcome a series of challenges and face their greatest fears in the process.
The book "LEVEL FEAR" does not only contain the text of this story. There is also a mysterious drawing on each double page. This is where the app comes in, because behind each of these graphics there is an augmented reality element that brings the story to life. To do this, the app simply has to be started and the respective drawing viewed through the smartphone's camera. Then the locations and the characters of the story appear as three-dimensional animations. In this way the book pages are transformed into a stage in miniature format and the audience can immerse themselves in the world of "LEVEL FEAR".
