MEASURE YOUR CAR'S ACCELERATION — WITHOUT EXPENSIVE GPS TRACKERS!
With STAR it is now possible for everyone to measure the acceleration of their own car. The STAR app supports different modes: measure how long your car takes to reach a certain speed, or how long it takes for a certain distance (drag race, e.g. 1/4 mile).
STAR can measure as many times as you want simultaneously. The app was designed from the outset to allow complete operation while stationary. Using rolling starts the app automatically recognizes as soon as you have set off and starts the measurement. The configuration of the measurements can thus be performed safely while stationary.
Each result is stored locally on your iPhone so that you can view them again later (no data is transmitted to us!). For each measurement, analysis tools such as a speed graph are also available.

Seems okay. The speed reading is way off. I mean by maybe 7 or 8 km/h. As such, it brings questions to the distance timing accuracy and precision. Also, the app didn't stop measuring time even though the claimed speed was met. The interface is okay, but it did not store the latest reading. It would be beneficial to have a way to stop timing if needed. There is no current way of doing this.

Hi, Marki! The accuracy of the reading directly depends on the GPS sensor built into your phone (the frequency it operates at). If you enabled "Rolling Start", the reading should stop once the speed has been reached. If that's not enabled, a button to stop it should be presented. We're looking into options to make that easier to understand.
