Ratings and reviews

I don't often take the time to write reviews but this app is really superb. I use it mostly for sheet music. You just point your phone at the original document and the app magically finds the edges and bingo! Then, if needed, there is a filter that "straightens" the document. After that, you print or share. The copy comes out perfectly white and clean (haven't tried with colour but I imagine that works just as well). And it's free. No ads! No nagging! Bravo developers!

The scan quality really has improved since I first try the app at the beginning of it being on the play store (thanks reddit). No luck for me, it is now a subscription feature to have Google drive sync. Hell even saving to local is behind a monthly paywall. I'll add the fifth star if such a basic feature come back to free or one time fee, I won't be able (and so many other people) to afford a subscription for everything, especially not for a scanner app on phone that I don't use profesionnaly.

I LOVE this app - the quality of 'scans' is so much better than "just taking a photo" of a form or a business card. With a simple photo, you'll often get blurred areas where the paper wasn't quite flat, or you have to zoom out so far to get it all in frame that the text becomes invisible / illegible. with Genius Scan the images are uniformly in focus, legible, with excellent contrast. You can even. create multi-page pdf files, single .jpg images etc. I highly recommend it.
