Disappointed. I came here to improve my English, the concept was amazing for me, learning by listening and reading at the same time, sounded great. So, because you have to pay for almost every story, I put some money for a year subscription, 45€, quite expensive for what the app really is. Because YES, THE APP SUCKS. That's my point, I paid for something not convenient at all, there are so many bugs, it's not even enjoyable to use, and where did the quizzes go ???

Overpromises, pushes you to pay with a meaningless "30 min half price", and then under delivers. The concept is good, but the execution is lacking. "Reading" goes too fast to actually read the text, having both texts at once is distracting and overall not as enjoyable as I'd have hoped. The flashcards' system doesn't make any sense to me and uses unexplained rules and symbols, list "premium" words i never asked for, overall just confusing. The app is laggy, in particular the horizontal scrolling of stories. The people reading stories have non-native accent, a weird rhythm, uneven speed, some words (in French) are mispronounced. They say "we have songs" and "we support many languages" but then I realized they had like 20 songs, in 2 languages. The "free" mode is unbearable with premium CTAs everywhere, I would not consider subjecting myself to this "for free" so I paid. I regret paying. I hope the app will improve and get more polished. For now i just regret thinking "hey, 20 €/year, that's cheap compared to Duolingo" … yeah, you kinda get what you pay for. I'd be happy to update this review once the app improves. As it is now, I would not recommend it to a friend

This app does not work. I've tried on my phone and my tablet and I cannot actually use it. Downloads start at 10% and never progress past that. EDIT: I tried downloading a story that was at the wrong level and that worked, but I still cannot download the correct story. App also put me in the wrong language even when signing in with an account that was already learning the right one on another device. And anything you do it asks if you want to start a free trial. For a broken app.
