This has remained my favourite language learning app for over a decade. The variation in games offers something for all learning styles and is a clever way to hide the repetition required for learning. i.e. it doesn't FEEL like actual repetition, so it does not get boring. If you can only afford one language learning app, it should be this one though the free version is fantastic if you want to learn a language thoroughly from scratch.

After today's update the app is now unusable in the free version. The curtain ad on the homepage is permanent and very invasive and the app plays you ads after course units. The rewards have also been lowered, meaning saving up from a free month of premium will take you about 6 months, probably. The free version is already only about 5% of the overall course, so this is just downright greedy behaviour. Not to mention practically everything is Ai slop. Do not recommend. Will be deleting.

my experience went from good to unbearable when I saw the ai illustrations...... please go back to the previous ones, they were a sign of genuinity, now how can I believe what I learn is even correct if such a big part of the experience is obviously machine generated? the images are now a pain to look at. could an option be made to switch between these images and the previous ones? I have no option to go back to I updated version.
