AntennaPod is a podcast manager and player that gives you instant access to millions of free and paid podcasts, from independent podcasters to large publishing houses such as the BBC, NPR and CNN. Add, import and export their feeds hassle-free using the Apple Podcasts database, OPML files or simple RSS URLs.

Ratings and reviews

Really buggy, regularly tells me there are listening errors, or the sound often randomly stops (even though the time still continues to lapse, as if it's playing). It's also not very easy to search for new podcasts by keywords - you need to know the name of the podcast series. When it works it's fine, but I only switched to this because Google podcasts stopped and now I'm going to try something else instead.

Exactly what I wanted. I discovered my previous podcast app (Beyondpod) was no longer available when I upgraded my phone; AntennaPod has a similar look, but in some ways more features. Straightforward to import my feeds, and it does everything I want. One exception - the sleep timer doesn't have an option for "end of current episode" - but I love the play history and that makes up for it. For free software, this is better than many paid for options.

Within this app you can find all your favourite podcasts via a search on the internet and add them to your subscription list. In the settings of the app there is the possibility to have new episodes automatically downloaded so that they are always available offline when you are outside a wifi-area. This app is made by volunteers and has no ads. I think it's brilliant and a very good replacement for the google podcast app. No complaints, thank you!
