Über diese App

The Protect Duty App is a training resource to improve the security of Public Venues. It supports security and venue staff in better preparing for serious security and terrorist threats.

How the app helps:

- Action Cards: Each card aligns to a security incident or activity and provides recommended actions to respond effectively.
- Dice: A repository of questions tests your knowledge to assess response readiness for each security incident outlined in the corresponding Action Card.
- Stats: Gain insight into your training progress by seeing the percentage of questions you correctly answered.

The Protect Duty Training Cards App was developed by YUDU Sentinel to improve the security of public venues and prepare for the upcoming Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill, commonly referred to as Martyn's Law.

The Action Cards and test questions are created by Chris Phillips - Counter Terrorism Expert - GCGI, FCiiSCM, FSyl. Chris is the Founder and Managing Director of the International Protect and Prepare Security Office (IPPSO). His specialism is the field of strategic counter terrorism advice and best practice.

Chris spent 7 years at the helm of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office. He is responsible for training, accrediting, tasking and co-ordinating over 250 Counter Terrorism Security Advisers across the UK.

Action Card Information:
There are 18 Action Cards in the Protect Duty App that cover serious security incidents and response activities at public venues. These cards are available offline, offering instant access in the event of an incident. The stress of serious incidents can cause even the most competent staff member to forget their training. This app provides an invaluable back-up to support security staff and remind them of the recommended actions.

The Action Card library covers incidents that include a marauding terrorist attack, being confronted with a firearm, a telephone bomb threat, treating knife and gunshot wounds, treating acid attacks, finding a suspicious bag, searching for a suspicious item, receiving suspicious mail, reacting to suspicious behaviour, searching a person, entrance incidents, managing a dynamic lockdown, handling an evacuation, moving people to safety, crowd control, good housekeeping, implementing physical security, and security preparation.
