When you set up the app and create an account they want to know you country county and city. For some reason to add a socket they need access to your precise location, and not just enabling location to access the WiFi. Linking the app to Alexa through the app brings up a 404 error page so you have to do it through the Alexa app. There are many bugs in the app like the update device firmware box keeps flashing on the screen and even after you have updated it. It's not the best but it works.

Following the app's options to connect to a power socket, EVERY step leads you to a dead end. The blue flashing lights are 'solid' on 2 out of 3 sockets, which according to the electrician, indicates they are connected. - They cannot be seen in the app. So, tried the other options to connect to the wifi of the socket itself... the app then instructs you to connect to BG HOME XXXX wifi which does not exist. No forgot password option either! Get 1 * 'cos 0 not available.

Had this app for 3 years now for an outside socket to my water feature, and every spring its always impossibly difficult to set up and connect to the router, 3 hours so far, no joy, was working fine when I closed it down for winter. I hate it, it is so stressful. I didn't choose this, my electrician did, to make my life easier!
