The new app is so bad I might not renew my pro subscription, even if I have to find a new home for 3k+ pics. It's slow and glitchy. It's locked in portrait mode and won't allow a landscape view of an image. Why? If Flickr doesn't allow photos to look their best, what's the point of it? I could go on but, in summary, another gem has been turned to drek by the tech industry.

I like Flickr and the app is usually a nice way for checking on new uploads. However, I have mixed feelings about the new app. On the one hand, it has a cleaner and modern feel. On the other, however, many of the functionalities are now less intuitive or missing altogether. For example, it's much more fiddly to add photos to groups now, and the ability to set a fairly precise location has been lost altogether, with only broad areas/cities available. Back to the desktop version for editing then.

I'm giving it two stars because it's theoretically a safe place to backup my photos. However, I have found this app to be less and less useful as time has gone on. And, with the most recent update, they somehow found a way to make it even LESS useful than it was. You can't scroll through the photos anymore and also you don't seem to be able to download in different file sizes as you could before.
