Standard Notes is a secure and private notes app. It syncs your notes securely across all your devices, including your Android devices, Windows, iOS, Linux, and Web.

Private means your notes are end-to-end encrypted, so only you can read your notes. Even we can't read the contents of your notes.

Simple means it does one job and does it well. Standard Notes is a safe and lasting place for your life's work. Our focus is making it easy to write notes wherever you are and syncing them with encryption to all your devices.

Standard Notes is completely open-source, which means when we say your notes are encrypted with industry-leading XChaCha-20 encryption, and that only you can read your notes, you don't have to take our word for it. Our code is open to the world to audit.

We made Standard Notes simple because longevity is important to us. We want to make sure we're here, protecting your notes, for the next hundred years. You shouldn't have to find a new notes app every year.

Does exactly what I want! Complete ease of use, has all the feature sets I want and more WITHOUT getting in the way! I've been writing stories and ideas that pop into my head with Standard Notes, and it's certainly getting the job done. The only other app I could compare it to is iOS notes, everything else feels so bodged.. And there's just been an update that fixed an issue I was having! I think this is the best notes app on the store. If I was to nitpick, the launch times can be slow is all :)

Great alternative to the other note apps out there. Encryption and privacy are a big win here. It's a little bare bones for the free tier, but the paid version unlocks rich text editing, links to other notes, and other cool stuff. I don't need that right now, but will consider the paid tier if it becomes a necessity

One of the few free secure note apps with sync. Compared to Notesnook, its positives include free whole-database lock, the ability to search locked notes and the preservation of line breaks in Keep imports. Negatives include the almost featureless free tier compared to Notesnook, the high price of the paid tiers (as others have mentioned) and the fact that exporting, wiping your account then reimporting with modifications creates conflicts (which it shouldn't; there's nothing there).
