Ratings and reviews

I love the Star Wars universe and I'm glad to see that SwGoH being a successful mobile game. Collecting shards for older toons is fast, except SHIPS. Early game gearing is fast compared to the past; but since it is significantly slower when you hit GEAR 8 - 10. There is somewhat of a good effort to make it easier but the way of doing that is very FREE-TO-PLAY UNFRIENDLY. Getting credits (in-game currency is easier to save now), Raids are getting to be a bit of a hassle for newer players.

I love this game. it's really fun. However to get 1 character from level 1 and 1 star to level 85 and 7 stars cost 8,194,755 credits and this excludes upgrading gear and abilities and mods. There are just under 250 characters in the game. I understand that this is not meant to be an easy quick game but I think that this is a bit much. And that's not even mentioning how long it takes to even get to level 85 in the first place. XP takes so long to get. You could pay money but F2P is really hard.

Game has gone from a fun to play Star Wars game to a pay-to-win monster over the years. Purposely designed to let players attain rare/better characters through special "Events", then forces players to pay to upgrade the same characters with no way to obtain upgrades through gameplay. It's gotten ridiculous with the ads for "packs" every time you navigate through the menus. If you have a ton of money to blow on microtransactions so you can "win" the game, then this is the game for you.
