it's actually quite fun. but the early game progression is a bit of a slog. I think if the permanent upgrades costs were scaled down a bit, it would feel a bit more fulfilling after a run ends. I do believe that the early game slog will drive away players who would otherwise spend considerable amounts of time playing the game, because as I said, it's quite fun. and the best part? non predatory ads. seriously dev team, thank you for this.

good to get a little sunk into for about 40 minutes or so. gorgeous like geometry wars, but not as flashy. best after unlocking the first few attributes, as it's kinda hard initially (no thorn damage or random upgrade chance on round end) altogether a good thing for short transit trips or before bed. not much else to see here. reliable, like a carrot.

It is very much a "throw yourself at the wall over and over to make slightly more progress each time"-esque game. While fun, the development team should very much consider increasing the speed of which upgrades are acquired. Playing the game over and over and over just to beat maybe 3 to 5 more waves grows frustrating quickly, which encourages uninstallation more so than encouraging financial purchases.
