Ratings and reviews

Grindr has been regressing over the years, it's terrible- scratch that, it's ABYSMAL. Almost all features, including the most basic, hardly work; connection is very poor. The app lags and hiccups greatly. Content in album dissappears for no reason. Messages take eons to load or send. These and many more unsavory things. It's maddening. Grindr, step up!

The program itself is riddled with bugs, it constantly fails to connect to the server. Draconian terms of service, inconsistently applied. Just terrible. Update to previous review; Downgraded from 2 stars to 1 star. The problems with the app have only gotten worse with time. Each update somehow makes it even glitchier. They have eased off the overly restrictive ToS rules, but that doesn't make up for a terrible product that is almost totally unusable, even if you pay for a subscription.

Too many ads isn't the issue. The ads are too intrusive. I will start typing a message to somebody and an ad will pop up, taking over my entire screen. Sometimes I'll accidentally tap on it because I was typing. It's not even ads for other things, it's just ads for their own premium service, who's main selling feature is "no ads." Instead of pushing excessive ads, then removing them for your premium service, maybe try making a good premium service, with features I would actually want to pay for.
