I think I discovered what the issue was. Somehow or other during the last update, my bluetooth was switched off. When I started having trouble with the app again recently, I checked my phone and noticed the bluetooth was turned off. Switched it back on, and everything's been working perfectly.

Does not locate my Scent Beat. In the same room, or across town. I cannot tell if my diffuser has turned on to run or not, or even to change the settings.. Edited: so I learned that this isn't a remote system. I can live with that. The manual os not very good, so I've really had to toy with the settings just to figure the while thing out. That could be easy fixed if they took the time to fully explain what everything means. The more I play with it, I will edit this.

11/27/2023 Update: It's been over a month. This system finally staying connected It found my system on the first time sign in. Once I came out of it. It no longer finds my system. I did nothing different. Sitting on top of the system, uninstalled and reinstalled same result. Device not found. Glad this is not needed to operate the system.
