The game is good as a stand alone thing. If it wasn't pay to win, it'd be better. I used to play this game a lot and you cannot progress because people pay for better troops. Now, can you win based on strategy? ofc. But it's a lot harder, and most of the time, it's meaningless. I, myself paid to get chests and cards and etc. and only then I was able to progress properly. If you want to tryhard and win, go ahead. But paying to win is and will always be easier.

I'm a long time player, and it's a good game, but at some point they updated the game so that it bars you (or at least greatly hinders progress) if you are too low level. Why? I have a level 1 account as a challenge account to try to get as high as possible without leveling anything up, and now I can only get ~5 trophies per win after this change. What is the point in this? Please change it back.

Overall, not a bad game if you put time into it. Reason for the 3 star is because of the reintroduction of the 1:1 trophy loss after already getting bad feedback the first time around. Especially with the excuse of things being "more rewarding" and "more balanced matchups" which, Is not true at all. update: started playing again after a longer hiatus, I came back to see that there's now an added "premium" pass, for basically the same rewards you used to get before with the regular one. 1☆
