With no money, no space truck and no prospects you were in need of some good luck and it seems that fortune may have smiled upon you. You've been given a Standard Junkbuster to pilot through the galaxy and enough Ching to fill your cargo bay with Moo Frogs, Pickled Nuts and Moon Wine. It looks like you're finally on your way to becoming a true Profiteer!

If you enjoy space-trading games, working your way up from being a lowly space trucker through to becoming a mega-rich gazillionaire, then you're going to love Profiteer.

You'll find yourself exploring the galaxy, using the special traits of each planet, trading exotic goods, dabbling in the black market, gambling, transporting passengers, avoiding pirates, getting sucked through wormholes, sabotaging your competitors and so much more. All the while the other players (who are a mixture of cunning, calculating, criminal and downright bonkers) will stop at nothing in their own quests to become Profiteers.

There are different types of space trucks to purchase and many ways to improve and upgrade those that you own. You can make your plans carefully by checking the news to see what's happening throughout the galaxy or you can smuggle illegal items between planets on a wing and a prayer, hoping to avoid the attention of pirates and intergalactic police.

The game features ten soundtracks, a unique graphical style, multiple difficulty levels, open-ended gameplay and challenging AI opponents.

Profiteer has been carefully designed so that a player can take a turn or two when they have five minutes to fill or so that they can, just as easily, settle in for a full evening's playing.

RokSoft is constantly aiming to improve the Profiteer experience for its players and welcomes their feedback. We were asked to add volume controls and improve the game mechanics for multiple trucks and swiftly implemented those changes. We also fix any bugs, problems or issues that are reported.
