I hate giving this game 2 stars as I've played it for so long and love how it runs on my phone. The reduction of 3 stars from what would be a five-star review comes from the fact that you have to pay $120+ (USD) to be able to have all the DLCs Civ 6 has. I'd gladly buy a DLC pass or they could call it an Anthology upgrade. Other than that, this game is amazing to have on Mobile, if you don't worry about the DLC prices. Also, if you use a stylus with your phone while playing this, it's mint.👌🏼

I love civilization and strat games are awesome for long flights, which is why I got this game. When you don't have an internet connection you cannot play the game. There is an authentication system built into the launcher that won't let you open the game THAT YOU PAID FOR, without being able to verify it is a legitimate copy. Every time you launch the game. I have found myself on 4+ hour flights unable to play the game without paying for WiFi just so that I can launch the game. Infuriating.

This could be a 5-star game, but as it stands, it's unacceptably broken. I'm a long-time Civ PC player, and the mobile port's core gameplay is great. However, you cannot justify a premium price for a game that doesn't work. The persistent online requirement is hostile to mobile gaming, and the experience is riddled with bugs. The most frustrating part? These issues appear to be entirely self-inflicted. I've seen proof that simply bypassing the DRM enables reliable offline play & fixes most bugs.
