They've managed to ruin a perfectly good app. Until last year I would've rated this app 5/5 but with the new UI updates it's just become so hard to use this app. the new interface has introduced unnecessary complexities; the subheadings are merged into the text, and a few other inconveniences that leave a bad taste. Additionally I used to be able to load a book and read it on the subway, but now it constantly polls and errors out complaining no connection. Downloading helps but was better before

I like the concept. It's nice to have audio and text options, although the text option seems auto translated and has a lot of errors. Sometimes the Blinks are too short and I don't get the concept at all. It would be great if books could be broken down into 45min-1hour. A much better synopsis could be given in that amount of time for an 11 hour book vs 20min.

Edit: It's been 3 days, I've emailed Blinkist more than once. NO HELP/NO REFUND, YET. This app is "okay." I could purchase used books from thriftbooks and skim it to collect more details than this app offers at a cheaper price, so I don't feel it's worth the $84 charge. My charge was pulled out at midnight the day my free trial was over (literally). I thought I had time to cancel before they pulled payment, but I was wrong. Now, I'm waiting to see how well they hold up to their refund policy.
