About this app

The ENGUZI UG App is a Corruption Reporting Facility (CRF) for gathering and reporting corruption related issues affecting domestic and foreign businesses operating in Uganda. The App is meant to collect and provide structured information on the type, nature, categories and magnitude of cases/extent of corruption practices. It seeks to establish the major players (both public and private entities), and their level of involvement. Confidentiality is a very important element in reporting corruption, and thus the App ensures that the identities of the reporting individuals and companies are safeguarded. The information gathered will be analysed, summarized and used by the private sector; as evidence to inform and engage in dialogue as well as lobby with Government of Uganda and other stakeholders for the necessary actions or reforms aimed at contributing to minimize corruption and its impact on businesses and investments in Uganda.
This Corruption reporting App is set up to capture reports from private sector actors through multiple channels, with the understanding that different actors may wish to access the reporting portal by means of various media. These include:
1. Webform (hosted at https://corruptionreports.ug);
2. Email (info@corruptionreports.ug);
3. Telephone (0800-123-123);
4. Mail (hard copy); and
5. Walk-ins (i.e. complainants visit the PS-CRF in person to make a report).
The CRF website (https://corruptionreports.ug) being one of the channels for reporting was developed to enable structured submission of reports by private sector actors for analysis to inform policy and action. Therefore, the information collected through this website is kept confidential and under the highest levels of protection. You are therefore encouraged to be as open as you can while reporting a corruption incident encountered in the recent past.
