This app is free to browse your media collection and cast to other devices. Playback requires either a one-time in-app purchase, or an active Emby Premiere subscription. Other premium features such as downloading require an Emby Premiere subscription.

Ratings and reviews

I've now paid for this subscription, because this is a fantastically well made app, service, and system, but I can't seem to get my premium key from anywhere. The app has a feedback loop of user flow for getting or retrieving your key, and it's now saying you've already paid, but I never got an email with a key, and there's no way to get your key from within the app. I'm not sure if I have to wait long or what but I do hope it eventually comes.

So the app has gotten much better over time, but now the only thing that's not working 100% is casting music. I have a chromecast music and I'm trying to use emby on my phone to control my music from my server to the chromecast at home and the app is buggy. Sometimes the gui controls disappear and all that shows is the album art, or if I want to switch from an album to shuffling all songs I have to restart the app to work right. So close to being perfect.

Allows you to control content access with a tags whitelist. This means you can tag all of your kids content and the kids profile can only view the tagged content - rather than having to tag everything you don't want the kids seeing, or setting up separate libraries or servers. This method is much more practical. Occasionally buggy and can sometimes take a super long time to open if you have to change server settings. Minor complaints, overall it's great!
