About this app

The Iris program was developed in 2017 in cooperation with the National Foundation for the Deaf remote support deaf and hard of hearing across Greece.
Through the application of Iris, the user has the ability to take immediate free interpretation to and from sign language and cheileanagnosi (Relay Service) without requiring the physical presence of the interpreter in the service point. This interpretation is via videoconference in direct connection with the National Foundation for the Deaf, in a specially designed for this space.
The Service is provided free by the National Foundation for the Deaf 24 hours in 24-hour, 365 days a year.
The user also has the ability to make an emergency call for an ambulance, police, fire brigade and civil protection. Unnecessary use of the service prosecuted.
