OK to start I couldn't get my wifi and ac to talk to each other. Not the apps fault at all. I contacted kenmore for help. We exchanged a total 6 emails each. Unfortunately with no success. I sent them a little more info, such as a screen shot of each page on the app. They replied back in a hour and told me my wifi module was bad. They sent one free of charge that day, I received it the following day. Installation of the module took less than 5 min. So minus one star because I'd like more options.

Like others, I had trouble getting the app to connect with my Kenmore Smart air conditioner. Today, after running the air conditioner for a couple of hours, I was able to get the app to work. Maybe something in the appliance needs to "boot up"? My prior attempts were right after the air conditioner was installed and it hadn't run for very long. Just tossing it out there in case somebody else wants to give it a shot.

Does the app show a red banner that says WiFi is not configured? If that's the case you can only control the AC when you are in close proximity to the AC, and it may take a few seconds after opening the app before you can control it. To enable faster control, and access to it from anywhere, make sure WiFi is configured.

Intermittent at best -- now it works, now it claims appliance doesn't exist or you're too stupid to manage your network properly. On & off for maybe 4 months, then suddently appliance can't communicate. "Check your network." On re-installing app and logging in, app says there are no appliances to manage, please add one. On adding, app says, "This product is already registered to your account." Nowhere left to go, out of options. Terrible app, no regard for customers.
