Light Alarm Clock will wake you up gently in the most natural way with light and sound.

Features:

All parameters of an alarm can be turned on/off and tuned to suit your needs.

How the application works:

Time that you set for every alarm is the time at which main alarm sound starts. Vibration also starts at this time, if corresponding option is set.

For "pre-alarm sound", "screen light" and "flash light" you specify time intervals, that mean that this action starts N minutes (specified interval) before main alarm time. For example, if alarm is set for 8:00 and screen light is enabled with interval set to 30 minutes, than screen light starts at 7:30 and main alarm begins to play at 8:00.

If battery level is lower than specified in the app's settings, then pre-alarm sound and screen light won't be turned on until main alarm time. You can disable this behaviour in the settings.

Ratings and reviews

The app works wonderfully well. All settings are easily adjusted. A gradual increase in phone led brightness would be awesome (as opposed to just the screen gradually getting brighter), but I don't think that is feasible. Thank you developer! Edit 2021: For the last six months I have been using this with my Pixel 3a and the led unfortunately doesn't work. I'll reduce from 5 to 3 stars due to inability to work on all android devices.

*Edit* This app used to be amazing, but no more! The alarm screen auto rotates even when your screen rotation setting is locked. Also, the worst thing is now the snooze button is missing when rotated to landscape. I have to carefully rotate my phone to the correct orientation and make sure I don't accidentally dismiss the alarm as I look for the snooze button. It *used to* help my eyes adjust to light before getting up. The birds chirping quietly before the audible alarm had been a nice touch.

[Edit: currently seeing an Adscend adbar at the bottom. After using this for 2 years without ads, I'm not a fan of potential spyware via Adscend.] This app works great as a poor man's sunrise alarm. You have the option to change or remove any feature you want. Very customizable & versatile. You're not going to have the bright screen upon Snooze because that defeats the purpose. You're supposed to train yourself to wake up to light.
