About this app

Measure the rate (seconds/day) and beat error (ms) of mechanical watches using the phone microphone.
* Get results in 60 seconds
* No external hardware required
* Two measurement screens
* Should work even if a small amount of background noise is present
* Automatic beats per hour detection.
* Custom beats per hour setting.
* Saving and comparing multiple results

The measured values for the same watch can very depending on:
- The position of the watch.
- The power reserve of the watch.
The measured values are estimation and can be different from the actual ones.

It is a very good and useful app,indeed. I can confirm it is very accurate. However,the silent room is a must for achieving the best possible results. One friendly piece of advice to the developers... please change the interface of the app or add the option to personalize the screen with the different styles. Also, I think the FULL SCREEN interface is mandatory. We all use modern phones, and the current interface is only half the screen. I hope you understand. Regards, Alexander.

This app works surprisingly well. I got it to just give me an idea about how my watches were running on the fly. I have a proper time grapher, and this app goes toe to toe with it. It's very accurate. My only issue is that it sometimes can't get a reading on a watch with a thick case, like a heavy diver. I suppose that's due to the sensitivity of the mic, not the app itself. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Using to investigate a clock movement. Seems to pick up the tick from a piezo disk lightly clamped to the movement frame. However, even set to 3600 bph, the triangles are all over the place even though the tick seems fairly balanced (not perfect, wanders some, but close), and the other stats dont fill out. The lift height doesnt seem to cover 1 sec pendulum clocks. 3 stars because it seems to almost work for what I need, hopefully the devs will see this, update to cover clocks too. Then its 5/5
