About this app
With the Energy Buddy you can track your electricity consumption and keep your electricity costs under control. With your own generation, e.g. with your own PV system, you can share your electricity with the community and actively promote the energy transition. The Energy Buddy offers you additional transparency about your CO₂ footprint and suggests personal goals for fewer emissions and more climate protection.
OUR MISSION
We support the expansion of renewable energies and the digital networking of households and their consumption devices as well as generation systems. The first step towards more sustainability is transparency, because only those who see and understand their consumption can take measures for more energy efficiency. Together we want to create awareness for power generation and energy consumption. The careful use of finite resources and the striving for the expansion of renewable energy sources should be much more pronounced in all areas of life, because energy efficiency means environmental and climate protection.
FUNCTIONS
- Scan electricity meters with a camera or enter them manually to keep an eye on consumption and costs
- Forecast for the annual electricity consumption using stochastic models and algorithms
- Consumption analysis based on the main consumers (household appliances), e.g. washing machine, television, refrigerator and stove/oven
- Calculate your personal CO₂ footprint and set goals for more sustainability and climate protection
- Daily news and information about the energy transition
- Link to third-party portals for local energy management (PV system, battery storage, e-vehicle / charging stations)
ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Connect the Energy Buddy to a compatible energy management system and get detailed analyzes of your energy:
- with the SMA Sunny Portal (powered by ennexOS): Get current performance data of your system and your energy in the house. Analyze your production and energy consumption over different periods of time and in different levels of detail
- with the Powerfox reading head on your electricity meter: You can use this to read your electricity meter automatically. This works for the meter at the grid connection both for purchased electricity and for feed-in, but also for a sub-measurement, e.g. PV production.
- with your access to the Fenecon portal: You can also connect to your account here and display the data in the Energy Buddy
- with the coneva SmartBox Compact as local energy management and direct connection.
