Next Player is a native video player written in Kotlin and jetpack compose. It provides a simple and easy-to-use interface for users to play videos on their Android devices

This project is still in development and is expected to have bugs

The app looks good and it's open source, I'm all for it, but I can't yet give 5 stars due to the reasons below: It seems the app doesn't display folders with subfolders, for instance. A folder named Series with each series in their own subfolders, the app will only allow for the files to be displayed If I let the app see each subfolder. Also, the app seems to always refresh thumbnails for files that were already loaded in a previous session.

good app. easy to use. this app can play background audio even if any game or other video player is running. i was looking for this feature for long time. this all has some glitches. some videos dosen't play for no reason. this app can't play next videos if i chose a video from file manager. url video playing does work for few websites only.

No fuss, no catches. Just straight to the point as it should be with everything you need! This video player app is what most of us needed. Would love to see a grid layout option for both the folders and videos and maybe a search bar. Overall, the best stock video player app by far in the Play Store. Keep it up! (Update: seems like the videos don't play with this new update, not sure if this is just me, but the videos do not play at all, and after closing the video, the app bugs out a bit.)
