About this game

The Green New Deal Simulator is a tiny deck-building game about the biggest challenge of our time: climate change. Your goal is to transition the United States to a post-carbon economy while ensuring full employment.
Invest in renewable energy sources, end fossil fuel consumption, capture the CO2 in the atmosphere, update the energy grid, research new green technologies… But watch out: the clock is ticking, and it seems like the budget is never enough!

This game forces you to make weighted decisions that will ultimately decide the fate of the world. The board-game simulation is smooth and fitting. Balancing all the variables (energy transformation, unemployment, the budget, the ticking clock) poses a definite challenge. This game is thought-provoking, aesthetically pleasing, and rewarding. I recommend you give it a shot. Can you stop emmissions from destroying the planet? (I've yet to save the world myself. XD)

I found this game over itch.io and was beyond excited to see it has an android version! This game is honestly the perfect mixture between fun, strategy, luck and a lil bit of political comedy. It truly deserves more recognition!!

Great little visualiser on the actual difficulties in rapidly decarbonising a county. Now if only someone could make a good complex simulator game for the same thing but globally 🙏

What's new

Big Bug Fix. The first version of the game had a diabolic bug related to localization that broke certain cards like Electrification Program if played from a device with non-Anglo-Saxon language settings.
If you thought the game was very hard or confusing, update and give it another shot!
