I have spent my life searching for the answers that my father, and my father's fathers, failed to find. Who were the Precursors? Why did they create the vast monoliths that litter our planet? How did they harness eco, the life energy of the world? What was their purpose, and why did they vanish?
To learn the ancient secrets of the Precursors you must first learn to harness eco itself. Collect as much eco as you can to harness it's power and master the channeling of it's energy. To collect eco you must catch the Precursor Orbs while aligning an ancient Precursor relic, The Seal Of Mar to the type of eco each Precursor Orb is channeling. The more eco you collect the faster the Precursor Orbs will be attracted to the seal. You'll have to think fast and be even quicker to react if you are to succeed and become a Sage.
You will find Precursor Orbs channeling a variety of eco. Green eco contains the energy of life itself. It flows freely through all living things, including the plants and soils of our world. Blue eco contains the energy of motion, used for activating dormant Precursor artifacts in various unforeseen ways. Red eco contains the essence of power and strength, adding to your combat prowess. Yellow eco contains the heat energy of fire and flame, do be careful with this one, and dark eco contains the properties to warp, mutate, and destroy. In large quantities dark eco resembles a thick, black liquid with a purple sheen.
At first you'll want to try and catch every Precursor Orb that comes your way. After The Seal Of Mar has become partially charged with various eco energies you'll have to be mindful. Once the seal has been charged with every type of eco the energy will react and cause an implosion so do be careful. Some Precursor Orbs won't be worth the risk to reach and The Seal Of Mar can only be spun so fast.
Good luck on your journey towards the mastery of eco energy, you will make a fine Sage some day. A Sage perhaps, to make even the Precursors themselves proud. If you manage to collect 100 separate eco charges before the seal implodes there'll be a reward of great importance for your quest. Now, all of you... get out of here!
