About this app

Reading and understanding difficult texts is easy with the accessible capito app. You can access easy-to-understand translations of difficult texts and have them read to you. The app offers translations in different language levels, from the easiest way to very easy to simple colloquial language. The capito app helps you understand information.

Difficulty reading? German is not your first language? The capito app can help you.
Simply scan the capito QR code on the original text or click through the content.

► Who is capito?
capito translates difficult texts into easy-to-understand language and makes them available in an app. Why? Because a large part of the information provided by companies and authorities is not understood and thus does not reach people.

Being able to understand information is the basic requirement for an inclusive society and for successful communication. 60% of the population understands information up to language level B1. But 68% of corporate and government communication is at the much more difficult C1 language level. With the capito app, you can decide for yourself at which language level you want to read information.

► Interested in using the capito app for business?
- capito translates texts and content into easy-to-understand language and makes them available in the app.
- The app can be used to make easily understandable content available to the target group without barriers
- The capito app is suitable for any form of content: whether contracts, legal texts, exhibition information, instructions for use, ...
- The capito app can be used as an audio guide (e.g. for museums)
