I would give this 5 or more stars except that the sign-in situation is buggy. I am a member of the TOI community and lately the ads have just been relentless. When I open the app, it says "logging in..." but then there are the ads and it acts like I'm not actually signed in. This app is desperately in need of an update. I love TOI, the news and the podcasts, so much! I'm not going to stop using it because of this issue, it would just be cool if it was fixed.

I loved using this app up until a month or two ago when ads began popping up every time I go to a new page, as well as on the bottom of the screen which is distracting when I am trying to focus on what I am reading. This is even more frustrating as I am a member of the TOI Community which is supposed to make it ad-free for me! If it weren't for the ads my rating would be 5 stars!

App is now completely useless. Instead of just popping up an ad that you can click out of when you go to read an article, it pops up an add on the home feed. The problem with this is that when you try to click out of the ad, it goes to a "web page not available" broken link for the ad instead of letting you go to the article. It makes the app unusable. This is very unfortunate as I trust TOI as a news source and defer as often as possible to their journalism.
