About this app

If you want to view GPS locations (geo-tag) attached to your photos then this is the app for you. This app will only work for jpg type photos at the moment, which is the default type for most mobile devices.

This app will;
★ search for photos on your device,
★ add location information direct to photos for use with other devices / computers
★ display photos in scrollable list indicating if there is a GPS location attached to the photo,
★ select photos to show location on Google Maps,
★ show all your photos on Google Maps
★ show all meta-data attached to your photo
★ delete or rename a photo
★ copy the photo gps location to your device clipboard as text for use with other applications
★ copy and paste the gps location from one photo to others
★ you can show photos filtered by those that do and dont have GPS information
★ measure the distance between two photos

Sometimes when photos are taken, GPS locations are not always accurate or you may take photos with devices not equipped with GPS functionality. Photo GPS helps you ensure GPS locations attached to your photo are up to date and correct.

If you have photos taken with other devices copy these to your android phone or tablet and use Photo GPS to display these photos too.

Basically a great app for checking your GPS locations attached to any photos that you have taken.

If you are having trouble writing GPS locations to photos and you are using an SD card some versions of Android prevent this so copy the photo to your devices internal memory and you should be able to update the GPS location.

Remember to always back up your photos before making any changes directly to the photos.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy the app.

Permissions used:
Location - Use your current location to be able to get directions from your position to photo position
Internet Access - ensure you have a network connection to show Google Maps
Write external storage - look for and read photos on external and internal storage and delete / update a photo if change made
