Simply determine butterflies
The app butterfly makes it possible to determine the most watched butterflies (butterflies and some diurnal moth) of the Alpine region (Switzerland, Southern Germany, Austria) in a simple way. In total there are about 100 recognized in expert mode than 300 butterflies.
About Entering recognition features (Tab features) as wing color, wingspan, distribution and body and wing shape selection can hit and then the corresponding the determination criteria butterfly in an overview list (Table results) are displayed with image and short description.
Tapping the short description leads to a detailed presentation with enlarged image and a closer description of the folder.
In the overview list a search by name (German or Latin) is integrated and butterflies can be marked as seen.
In the detailed view additional data and images to more accurately determine directly from the app in the German Lepiforum (determination assistance to the proven European butterfly species), on the website of nature-and butterflies in the German Wikipedia can be retrieved.
All images and data for a single determination are stored on the device. Therefore, the app is very suitable for traveling, if no or only a slow connection to the Internet.
