The first cafe-restaurant "Cyclo" was opened in December 2017 in the shopping center Vegas Kuntsevo. Its creator, a true Vietnamese, Tran Ngoc Fu, arrived in Russia more than 10 years ago as a student. Not indifferent to the history and traditions of his people, he was deeply disappointed with how they cook in Russia in restaurants specializing in Vietnamese cuisine. It was then that he got the idea one day to open a restaurant that would fully correspond to the spirit of Vietnam.
The very name "Cyclo" comes from the Vietnamese "Xích lô" or Cyclo (Cyclo). This is a traditional Vietnamese means of transportation, the image of which appears in the head of every Vietnamese when it comes to his country. This is a hybrid of a bicycle and a stroller, the so-called "cycle rickshaw", one of the functions of which in ancient times was the transportation and sale of Vietnamese street food. This is exactly the image captured on the logo of the restaurant.
The menu of the Cyclo restaurant has embodied the best traditions of Vietnamese cuisine, which has a thousand-year history. The creators of the restaurant set a goal to preserve 100% the authentic taste and recipe of the dishes prepared by them, using exclusively high quality Vietnamese products in order to avoid the "Europeanization" so characteristic of most of the existing Vietnamese restaurants today.
