For the first time, the idea to write a script for a film where the main character of the drama about the sinking of the Titanic would not be a person, but the ship itself, came to me many years ago. Do you remember with what pomp the film “Titanic” was promoted, which later collected almost all the Oscars? But that film, in fact, is a banal melodrama, the action of which takes place in the scenery of the legendary liner. In this film, the Titanic itself is given an unenviable role, because such love stories can happen anywhere. Agree, the liner became simply a spectacular bait for spectators. It’s a pity that his own tragedy, which occurred due to human stupidity and arrogance, was left behind...
