REA recently rolling out this app and I totally disagree with the practice of the app charging fees on automatic direct debits. A formal complaint with the Dept of Fair Trading is under way. Switching to the app has taken one convenience from renters that used to be free - totally unacceptable and I consider this a predatory business practice. Apart from that experience managing rent payments with app isn't that great - it's much easier to miss payments compared to scheduled bank transfers.

Thanks for your review Yeming. Ailo has decided to charge on a % basis for direct debits to be consistent with the fees we charge for other payment methods & to offer a lower fee for people who pay lower rent. Payments made by bank account before/on the due date will be acknowledged on the day it was initiated so you will not appear as paid late.

This app was created by the White family to strong arm tenants to pay additional fees on top of their rent. Yes there is a "fee free" way to pay your rent using the app, but it is deliberately inconvenient and requires manually entering all payments each time. If this annoys you as much as it annoys me I recommend looking up 'change org no rent tech' and signing the petition that shows up.

Created by parasites, designed to skim off of renters! What more could you ask for! The most cynical app in Australia! This app has been nothing but a completely infuriating experience. And surprise surprise, when it comes to customer feedback, everyone's hands are tied - all the way up the chain. The cynicism is palpable with this lot. 0/10 would not do again.
