Energy Ring - Battery Indicator

Energy Ring app more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently. Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.

Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.

Battery Ring can check battery status on the top of screen like screenshots. When there is a new notification when the screen is off, the breathing light flashes after 5 seconds. Double-click to turn on the screen.

Ratings and reviews

With the sliders provided, it is very hard to precisely line the ring around the camera hole, even when using a touch screen pen. But even worse, this app seems to mess with the touch screen making my phone all but unusable. I ended up having to reboot and safe mode to remove it. This was on a Pixel 7.

Very nice when set up, but quite finicky to set the ring around my punch hole. Couple of suggestions for the developer: have it so you can save your preset when you have configured your ring position, and be able to upload/download the preset for your handset if somebody else has already set it up. Also, if you could change the background of the ring to be a contrasting colour while setting up would make it far easier to position.

Causes instability on my Honor 70. Nice app, quite configurable (eg ring position, size & thickness and colour) but it causes my phone to crash. After diagnosing, problems occur as soon as I enable "Draw Over Other Apps". Eg you can't swipe to close or even switch apps etc, but everything is fine again as soon as "Draw Over Other Apps" is disabled. It's a shame because I hoped it would work. Nice try but not for me/my Honor 70. I hope this diagnosis helped.
