About this game

Semantle is a word search game, but unlike others based on the spelling of the word, Semantle is based on the meaning of the word. As you make guesses, you are given a rating of how similar your guess is to the target word.

Semantle is CHALLENGING. It is fun to play on your own, but if you find it too hard, it is fantastic to play with friends, or to check out the communities for hints.

How is similarity determined? The Semantle-Space is built from Google's word2vec database, which puts words in a large space with locations determined by the context (or semantics) that the word is normally used for.

Nothing is aligned and letters arent in the boxes properly. The scrolling on the side menu is so buggy and misaligned it's impossible to read what anything says or see everything. It also doesn't have the junior option or yesterday's option. There eis absolutely no reason to get the app when I can just go to the website.

Either the instructions are inadequate, or the app was not working. I entered a guess, and nothing happened. Sometimes if I entered a guess and then clicked on the boxes at the bottom of the screen, there was a brief fireworks graphic, but that was it. Type in a word, click guess, word disappears.

A proper challenge. 151 guesses to narrow the meaning to the correct word. Probably beginners' luck. No ads, as far as I can tell. I like the colours and format. This one is for real enthusiasts of word meanings and their complex relationships. One word per day is quite enough! Unique, labyrinthine, and endlessly stimulating. Bravo.
