Sutradhar means narrator. India has always had the tradition of narrating and listening to stories. Knowledge of every kind has been collated in the form of these beautiful stories so that it is easy to remember and understand. We are attempting to translate this generations old tradition of Shruti and Smriti for our smartphone generation.

Considering India’s rich cultural heritage, we plan to bring stories from all parts of India and present to them in your local language. On Sutradhar we are already offering videos based on ancient epics Ramayan and Mahabharat and from various Purans (Vishnu Puran, Shiva Puran, Padma Puran, Bhagwat Puran, Harivansh Puran, Skand Puran, Garuda Puran etc.) and Upanishads in Hindi, English, Odia and Marathi languages.

Listening to these stories not only satisfies your devotional needs, it also brightens your day by enlightening your mood. These are beautiful stories with hidden learnings and suitable for people of all age groups.

Not only this, we also publish videos for your devotional needs like Vrat Katha (Ekadashi Vrat Katha, Pradosh Vrat Katha, Solah Somvar, Vaibhav Lakshmi, Sankashti etc) and historical and mythological stories about our festivals (Diwali, Bhai Duj, Raksha Bandhan, Karva Chauth, Chhath, Gangaur, Dussehra, Gudi Padva, Akshaya Tritiya, Holi, Basant Panchami etc.).

Our short videos are easy to watch and can easily be downloaded and shared on Whatsapp. Share these videos full of learning and knowledge everyday.

We are doing extensive research on each of these stories and try to bring the most entertaining version for your enjoyment. Stories like Pururava-Urvashi from Rigved, Nala-Damayanti from Mahabharata.

Stories about lesser-known characters of Ramayana and Mahabharata like Vali-Sugriva, Nala-Nila, Jatayu-Sampati, Satyaki, Kritavarma, Bhurishrava etc.

Good content, but basic features are missing. For example, lack of audio-only mode, lack of background play, lack of downloads, wrong sorting of episodes within all series - just to name a few critical misses. I waited for 3 months to see whether the developer fixes these issues - but nothing was done.

The work you are doing is very awesome and much needed. The quality of the content is awesome including audio and video. Just a humble suggestion that you must categorise videos more aesthetically. Currently all languages are mixed at one place. It looks messy. Kindly organise them better. Also provide a sort option, so that viewer can view according to his choice of approach.

Everything is good, you could try to include more of unknown and unpopular incidents from our puranas & also the word 'mythology' is not appropriate use 'history' instead because of puranas are real and actually happened, they are not made up stories. It would be more good if you introduce dark mode. Also please give 'continue watching' option. All the best :)

Thank you so much for taking time out and writing the review. We are doing our best to do research from original sources and bring out stories which are not very popular. We also want to bring out the work being done by contemporary historical/pauranik fiction writers, some of them are doing really amazing work that needs to be highlighted.
