About this app

The tekmarNet® Internet Gateway app allows remote access to a tekmarNet® HVAC system. Users can view and change settings for each thermostat, including: temperature, heat/cool/auto, fan operation, relative humidity, schedules, and the away scene. In addition, the boiler system temperatures, firing rate, run times, and pump status can be viewed. All system data can be graphed on a chart. Users are informed of errors and warnings through email or text notifications. The 486 includes three alert inputs that can be used to monitor auxiliary equipment.

This is the companion app for Tekmar's new gateway model 486. This gives you similar app control as with the so-called "smart" thermostats of other companies, but with the superior Tekmar control system. I am using this and the gateway 486 with a hybrid radiant floor + forced air system (incl. radiant floor cooling) controlled by a Tekmar 406 and multiple model 557 thermostats. It works great and has all the app control features I would want.

You can set temperature with this app. That's all. You cannot schedule anything on the app. Also, after you change the temp you don't see if the unit is on or off it is not refreshing automatically, you need to close and reopen the app to get current status.

The main screen thermostat font needs to be fixed. When you have a page of thermostats you only see the first number on each thermostat followed by dots. Why can't you improve this to be able to read all of the thermostat screens? My Samsung note 9 screen is 4k what type of screen was this designed for?
