I have the premium ver and been using it for years, but in the last year it has gotten really bad. After a couple minutes the app just stops. It will start up again on it's own when brought to the foreground. Same behavior with the screen off. Sometimes when I reach the end of a chapter it won't play the next unless I force stop and reopen. Randomly my downloaded books don't show as downloaded and it won't let me do it again until I clear cache. It also streams even after I download the book.

It mostly works pretty well. I don't regret paying for premium. My major issue is that the app has to be force quit when I walk off my wifi connection. For some reason it can't handle swapping to data connection. Even when the audiobook is downloaded.. Other minor issues: The UI is really unintuitivr to me and difficult to see, especially outside. I'd like to be able to see time remaining rather than elapsed. And it really really bugs me that duration of other chapters.

3 stars because it does indeed successfully play audiobooks from my Plex server, and I do desperately need something that can do that well since I've got tons tagged and indexed on there. I don't care so much about extra features like sorting, but the deal breaker for me is the inability to sync confidently. My only indication of download progress is constant error messages (since I sync to an external microSD card), and the spinning wheel next to the title. Usually the wheel never stops spinning though, so I need to stop and start it many times before it finally says it's all synced. But then I'll be driving down the road, and the book immediately stops at the end of the chapter... because it wasn't synced after all. And since I don't want to kill my mobile data by streaming my books, I'm forced to stop there. Since my main time to listen to audiobooks is while driving, I can't do very much with an app that I can't trust to download the audiobooks. That said, I'm very excited for this app, and it's hard to be critical because I want to support the developer and see it succeed. There's a huge need for this on the Android side of the aisle, and I think it'll demolish every other audiobook app out there once it's working smoothly. If you need this as much as me, make sure you pay to unlock all features of the app, so you can support its development.
