UPDATE: Othello Quest is a far superior app to this one. Also, no updates/improvements to this app in two years since I downloaded it. I have now uninstalled this app. UPDATE: Connection issues are a serious problem with this app. If your WiFi happens to switch during the game you automatically lose. An audio alert would be very helpful when turn time is about to expire. Also, it would be nice to see your opponent's rank or win % when you play.

Stuck on matchmaking the past few days. It's fun competing against other online players. However, like others commented, it can suddenly lose connection and kick you out in the middle of a game and ding you as a lost. Also, many times I get a blank board then flag the game as a lost or tie affecting your win/lost percentage. Of course, no offline play. Now, I can't play online since it's stuck in the matchmaking screen forever looking for an opponent. IRRITATING.

The game does need some serious work. Often I lose because of some connection error. But other apps work fine. Sometimes it gets stuck trying to make a move and you're just waiting until you quit. Other times perfectly legal moves are not highlighted or allowed. And sometimes your opponent appears to make illegal moves. I think what's happening is that the board locally is not properly displayed or synced to the server. Also, why is it full screen and taking over my phone?
