I like that the app closes when I ask it to and doesn't randomly re-open itself. Some radio apps do this and it's frustrating. Yet there's no notification so to stop it you have to go back to the app or reopen it. I would also like to see WBGO support RDS (radio data system) so you can see what track is playing. This is also missing on my home stereo that supports streaming.

I'm a longtime jazz lover, WBGO listener and member. I have volunteered at the station during on air fund drives, so my opinion of the station is extremely biased. This review however, is based solely on my usage of the App and it's functionality. I find the WBGO App to be smart, stable, reliable, informative, intuitive and user friendly. It provides access to timely information about the local jazz scene, the station, the music and the presenters. In addition, it gives you easy access to community activities, local news, weather, politics and sports. And the App also links you to NPR's national news network. It's NO 1-trick pony. I have only high praise for the music and the station. And in my opinion, the WBGO App is deserving of similar praise. J. M. Clark

Ruined by latest glossy upgrade. This app always worked flawlessly until the redesign. Now it literally takes over 2 minutes to load on my phone, then crashes intermittently. I really just want the app to listen to wbgo. But the app is so cluttered with unnecessary content. Navigating the app is confusing - Terribly overdesigned. I really hope that donor dollars didn't go towards this.
