Samsung S10e with A229. This app works as expected. Video files can be downloaded and viewed in seconds with wifi 5. Missing the native VPN tethering option in the app after one of the last updates, but viewing embedded GPS details (if needed) is easier on an app on a computer anyway. Be sure to turn off any 3rd party VPN connections prior to attempting to connect, or the app won't be able to find the camera.

Connecting, changing camera settings, live view all work well enough for me. Downloading the videos is pretty fast (on 5GHz with my wireless Android Auto dongle unplugged from the car to stop it from taking over my phone's WiFi connection), and playback is smooth. Love the GPS sync feature with the video playback. However, there is no "share" option for the downloaded videos. I'd love to be able to stitch together a few one-minute videos and export them to literally anything at all.

It's sad to see this sub par app paired to a heavy hitting camera system. Honestly accessing your camera via app on WiFi is awful. My advice for folks having issues is to only have the 2.4Ghz WiFi network going on your camera. I've had much more success than way. If they do more rigorous testing and make the app a smooth experience then I'd change the rating. But it seems thats not the focus. Please do some more qa with humans with a variety of phones with different chipsets.
