Crede Technologies was founded in 2010 to fill a gap in technology solutions for niche healthcare applications. The company provides specialized, purpose-built auditing and survey systems that help improve and support Quality and Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control initiatives in acute, residential, Long-Term Care, community, lab and clinic settings. Crede Technologies is currently operating in hospitals across Canada with 24/7 support.
Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) are often associated with increased morbidity and mortality, contributing to approximately one-third of unexpected in-hospital deaths. It is estimated that up to 70% of HAIs are preventable. Environmental contamination plays a significant role in HAIs and in the unrecognized transmission of nosocomial pathogens during outbreaks, as well as ongoing sporadic transmission. Several pathogens can persist in the environment for extended periods and serve as vehicles of transmission and dissemination in the hospital setting.
The Environment of care is comprised of three elements: the building or space that is used for providing patient care; the equipment used to support patient care or to safely operate the building or space; and people, including staff, patients, and visitors. Cross-transmission via the hands of healthcare workers and front-line clinicians, who either become contaminated directly from patient contact or indirectly by touching contaminated environmental surfaces, has been implicated in 20 to 40% of HAIs.
Crede Technologies' digital tools can be used on any device by frontline clinicians to collect IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) data from all over any healthcare organization. Clinicians and auditors can capture incidents, audits, risks, and compliance and access information anytime right at the point of care. Management can collate, analyze and act upon real-time information and metrics across multiple sites, consolidating data into a centralized platform with automated/distributed report generation.
Crede Technologies was built for healthcare organizations that want to manage IPAC-related quality, patient safety, compliance and hospital accreditation processes simply and conveniently using one central software platform. The platform was designed with strict adherence to best practice guidelines, including but not limited to standards published by Accreditation Canada, IPAC Canada, PIDAC, CSA, HSO, Provincial Standards, WHO, ORNAC, AAMI, CPSI and The Joint Commission.

Features and Functionality
Crede Technologies develops, markets and supports several software auditing solutions including Hand Hygiene, Quality Improvement / Environmental Surveillance, Medical Device Reprocessing and Real-Time Patient Experience Survey systems.
