About this app

It is a project of character and social content that seeks to bring culture to the group of blind people with vision difficulties and the general public. For this we create accessible contents for museums and galleries, audiodescriptions of works of art and spaces.

In order to disseminate these contents, the Accessible Culture application has been developed. A free app for the user. This app works as an audio guide, stores and manages the exhibitions of the different museums and galleries that are part of the project.

We thus break down two barriers: the first one is that of accessibility, creating unique and personalized contents aimed at blind people with vision difficulties at risk of exclusion. The second, the economic, by creating a free audio guide service for the public that brings together many cultural offers in the same application.

Thanks to this project we have been awarded by the City of Valencia with one of the Social Innovation and Development grants that the city council offers. One of the aspects that has been taken into account when assessing said prize has been the methodology that we apply in our work teams, composed of specialists from the art world, audio descriptors and a blind person, as the target audience of the application, which certifies a correct audio description and an adequate language.
