Android's power and performance management have become strict, and the background program might be killed. You can browse this page to solve the problem.

The general solution is: Add the widget to the whitelist.
Go to Security App → Permissions → Press auto start
or
Go to Security Center > Privacy permission > Auto-run Management

In a nutshell, just change all the power and memory management setting to manual and in the whitelist to prevent system kill widget's process.

This app is perfect! My old Samsung came with a preinstalled photo frame widget. Upgrading to the s10 it didn't have one! I'm glad I found this one. It works perfectly and has many more options then the one I had before! So glad I found this app/widget! It's easy to use. Has lots of beautiful options for frames/effects etc and best of all...I can now have a folder with my favorite photos and set them to be in this beautiful frame on my homescreen! It's like a digital frame on my homescreen! ❤

I've enjoyed this app for a number of years, keep photos on various pages of multi-page desktop--- but NOW SUDDENLY I CANNOT SET UP ANOTHER INSTANCE OF IT TO DISPLAY OTHER PICTURES. I'm really disappointed about that, as I especially enjoy having faces of dearly loved friends and family right on my desktop(s). What happened?? ==/== Continued work on solving this puzzle, and the answer is:IF HOME SCREEN(s) SHOULD BE LOCKED, YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO ADD ANYTHING-- UNLOCK AND ALL IS WELL!!! 5 stars!

It was working great for the longest time. But now it keep loading up ads in the background and I keep hearing the same 2 second loop of music over and over again! I have to go to stop it in the developer options as well since it's a background process. IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE!
