MAINTENANCE FOR THIS APP HAS DISCONTINUED: Please switch to its successor "TrailCompanion".
The riding companion offers riders (and recently also mountain bikers and motorcyclists) extra safety when riding a skittish horse or on a fast ride:
-a map to find your way back home
-an emergency call function, through which you can send your position in case of injuries
-a detection of emergencies in which the emergency call is sent automatically (the mobile phone must be on the rider, not in panniers!)
A fall with subsequent loss of consciousness is recognized using various algorithms and up to 3 preset acquaintances are automatically informed by SMS or push. Depending on the existing connection, this is done via a Maps link with your current position or a link to a live map if the recipient also has the app.
The routes ridden can also serve as a training diary or be recorded and shared with friends. Additional training (ground work, etc.) can be recorded online and different horses can also be recorded and managed across riders. For example, you can see how far and how fast your riding participations have ridden your horse.
If the app does not run stably on individual cell phones, your feedback will help to make the app better. I am also happy to help with problems caused by incorrect mobile phone settings. Please note, however, that this is a private project of a rider, so 24/7 support is not possible. If you have any questions or individual requests, support is available at least on the weekend. Data from old cell phones can also be integrated into the training diary of the new cell phone using the feedback function.
