About this app

Introducing Drug Interaction Review and Resolution - the most requested app feature among European doctors.

You can now verify drug interactions directly in the application. In it, you can enter up to 20 different drugs and active substances, identify potential interactions, see their severity and get suggestions for solving them. Mediately Medicines Database provides practical recommendations and thus enables you to make informed decisions.

So what does Mediately Drug Database offer you in practice?

You are treating a patient with high blood pressure and gastroesophageal reflux disease who recently developed atypical pneumonia. The patient is taking perindopril, lercanidipine and pantoprazole. You are thinking of putting him on clarithromycin for pneumonia, but you are not sure about the possible interactions.
Simply enter these drugs into the application and you will see in no time that clarithromycin has a potentially serious interaction with lercanidipine and should therefore be avoided. In the application, you will also find recommended alternatives and, based on them, you can decide to prescribe azithromycin. The patient should feel much better in a few days.

Thanks to the app, you can easily search the offline drug registry with more than 9,600 drugs and get instant access to interactive clinical tools and dosage calculators.

1. Get information about more than 9,600 medicines

For each drug, you can view detailed information including:

* Basic information about the drug (active substance, composition, pharmaceutical form, class, information about reimbursement of the drug from the public health insurance system);
* Important information from the SmPC document for the given drug (indications, dosage, contraindications, interactions, side effects, overdose, etc.);
* ATC classifications and parallel drugs;
* Packages and prices;
* Access to the complete SmPC document in PDF format (requires internet connection).

2. Search a wide range of interactive diagnostic tools

In addition to the complete drug database, the application contains a number of interactive clinical tools and dosage calculators useful in everyday practice:

* CHA2DS2-VASc (Score for Atrial Fibrillation Stroke Risk, scoring system for CMP risk stratification in patients with atrial fibrillation);
* GCS (Glasgow Coma Scale, a scale assessing quantitative impairment of consciousness in adults);
* GFR (estimation of glomerular filtration according to the MDRD equation);
* HAS-BLED (a scoring system for determining the risk of major bleeding in patients with atrial fibrillation);
* MELD (Model for End-Stage Liver Disease, a scoring system used to assess the severity of chronic liver diseases);
* PERC score (Pulmonary Embolism Rule-out Criteria, scoring system of criteria for the exclusion of pulmonary embolism);
* Wells criteria for pulmonary embolism.

Imagine the following situation:

A doctor in an outpatient clinic treats a patient with community-acquired pneumonia. He decides to treat the patient with a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Now he has to calculate the correct dose. But the doctor does not have to calculate the dose manually or make a rough estimate. Instead, he reaches for his cell phone, opens the amoxicillin and clavulanic acid dose calculator in the app, enters the patient's age and weight, and is presented with the results with a recommended dose.
